APHRODITE

Aphrodite is the goddess of love and beauty. Her symbols of power are dolphins, roses, scallop shells, myrtles, doves, sparrows and swans.Once Zeus made Aphrodite marry Hephaestus since he was the most steady god out of all of them. to stop a war of jealousy over Aphrodite because she was to beautiful.
APHRODITE'S NAMES
Aphrodite has many names used in many different places of the world. The ones used in Greece are Cirilo, Cytherea, Pandemos and Idalia and when all the cities of Greece combined the names, they got the name Aphrodite.
APHRODITE'S BIRTH
There's actually 2 different myths about how Aphrodite was born the 1st one is that she was born from sea foam, because Cronus cut off Uranus' genitals and threw them into the sea behind him. After the genitals had sailed a long time across the water, white foam form into a little girl named Aphrodite from from the human flesh.Then Aphrodite floated straight to an empty scallop shell. Then she drifted towards the shore in the scallop shell, when she arose she was then hailed as Cyprian.Who knew such a beautiful person could be made in such a disgusting way.

Ares




Ares is the god of war. He was a cruel god that nobody wanted to be aroud accept for Aphrodite. Ares loved Aphrodite almost as much as he loved war. The bloodier the battle the better. Ares was also a bad-temperd coward. Whenever he was wounded he would beg Zeus to heal him. When defeated, he was a sore loser.

Athena

Athena's Birth

Athena is the goddess of wisdom, battle, crafts and plans. Athena is a child of Zeus. She is the brother of Ares and her symbol of power is the owl.She lives in a palace called Athens.

Athena's birth
Athena was born from Zeus's head. Zeus was suffering from a terrible headache and ordered Hephaestus to crack open his head, then Athena rose in full battle armor. She became Zeus's favourite child and Zeus let Athena use all his weapons including his prized weapon the lightningbolt!

Athena and Medusa
Back when Medusa was pretty, Poseidon and Medusa had a date in Athena's temple. When
Athena found out about this she turned Medusa into a monster that was so ugly that whenever someone looks directly into her eyes they turn to stone.
The Fight Over Athens
The fight over Athens began when Athena and Poisidon both wanted Athens so they had a competion.The competion was that they had to make a gift for Athens and the people of Athens would decide who had the better gift and whoever had the better gift would be given Athens.When the two olypians faced off.
Poisidon gave them a neverending trade of water but it was salty.Athena gave them the first olive tree. The people of Athens gave Athena Athens.

Apollo is the god of medicine, music and drives the sun. His only sibling is Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt. His father is Zeus and his mother is Hera. He wears armor made of fire when he is in battle and his weapon of choice is the bow and arrow.

Poseidon

POSEIDON
Poseidon is the god of the sea, earthquakes and horses.His symbol of power is the trident. When he wants to make an earthquake, he slams his trident on the ground and could kill anybody if they get to close. Poseidon has two brothers: Hades and Zeus. To invent a horse Poseidon made a big wave and after the wave clears a horse appears.

Hades


Hades is another brother of Zeus and Poseidon. He lived in the Underworld and his symbol of power is the Helm of Darkness. Hades is God of the underworld. He has a three headed dog named Cerberus who guards the Underworld but only lets the dead in. There are only a few heroes who have gotten in and out alive.


Zeus


Zeus may be the youngest child of Cronos and Rhea, but Zeus is also the king of all gods. Zeus' symbol of power is the lightning bolt, he uses it against anyone who displeases him. Zeus has two other brothers:Poseidon and Hades.
Beleive it or not Zeus actually killed Cronos, his own dad and then threw the remaines into Tartaurus.
Zeus controlles lightning,thunder and rain which also makes him a weather god.
